Some examples of the post-1967 capsule fire electronics modules from the Apollo program, designed to be more modular and safer in the high oxygen environment.   The S-Band network and system was designed by Collins Radio and could transmit and receive simultaneously. Voice, telemetry and television.   From the Lunar Module, for example, slow-scan television was frequency modulated on the carrier, and telemetry was phase modulated on the subcarriers. In addition, the system allowed for very accurate ranging to determine the distance of the spacecraft from Earth.  " Every American voice transmitted from space was via Collins Radio Co. equipment" and not one failure occurred on any mission.

Of course there is MUCH more that can be said about Collins Radio involvement in space, but the photo with Art Collins shows that the company was in it from the very beginning.
